Weather Line App Reviews

The best, Jerry

Ive used a lot of weather apps and in my opinion they come in three flavors: those intended for a quick glance and those intended for research or reference. This is the best quick-use app, far superior to anything else Ive used. You do not have to switch screens to go from icons to narrative. Everything is on one screen. If you need to find historical fog densities in Fargo you should look elsewhere. But if you want to understand whats going to happen today and the rest of the week and then get on with your life, nothing beats this app.

No today widget

Not acceptable.

Fantastic

Great accuracy, interface, and responsiveness.

Very good weather app

The double line concept works very well and is this apps top feature. Other apps just give the high and low temperatures, maybe with a single bar, but they dont indicate if the low is in the early am or at later that night. This app shows the high and low lines separately so its easier to see the temperature trends and when they occur. This app would greatly benefit from just a few things: larger fonts and icons would be much better. Please dont use the grayish or lighter colored text - its harder to read at a glance or outside in brighter light. Also, a dark background option would be nice.

Comment:

I love the app but want to add my two cents. So currently if there is even a one percent chance of rain or snow, the timeline will display the corresponding icon for that hour. I think this should be changed and that a threshold should need to be crossed before an icon is displayed. Maybe a small indicator can be placed on the timeline to indicate that while unlikely, there is a small chance of [x]. Or maybe not. Up to you to decide the best route. Thanks.

Great, but needs to include access to Radar data

I already wrote a review, but I forgot an essential data: Radar maps! So I rate only 3 stars instead of 4 previously (still it is the best in terms of visual representations). In my area, Radar data is essential as short term forecast. Rain and storm is so localized that Radar is the only way to know the risks of being hit in the next hour or so, and is plain and simple a must. If its not here, then I have no choice but launch another app. I was going to recommend this app to friends because it is so exciting, but stopped short once I realized it was missing Radar. another weather app

Favorite Weather App

This is definitely my favorite weather app and I would recommend it to anyone that asks my option. But I also just got an iPad Pro and really wanted to see support for it. Would love to see an update that makes this app universal across iOS devices! I would be happy to beta test as well. Thanks, Brent

Awesome / Voiceover Compatable

This is a powerful, crisp, clean app that packs a punch. Best of all it is voice over compatible. Great job. Keep up the awesome work. :-)

Excellent weather app

This is the best weather app Ive used. The display is intuitive and the weather accurate. I dont find much need for monthly averages, but the rest is very useful. My only wish is that I could have one day of history rather than prediction. I remember better how I felt (hot/cold) yesterday than I remember how I felt the last time it was 63F, and seeing the visual representation of temperature trend relative to yesterday would better allow me to plan for whats coming.

Excellent weather app!

Excellent visualization of weather, especially weekly view. Well done.

If only it had a widget!

The only thing its missing in my opinion. Great app.

Best weather app!

Gorgeous, minimalist design, incredibly accurate and easy to read. Dark sky rain predictions is the icing atop the cake!

Love this App

The perfect weather app, it shows me what I need to know in a glance.

My favorite weather app

I must have tried about 10 or more weather apps over the years and this is my favorite. Its full of info, but presented exceptionally well. Clean, clear and never cluttered. It has useful monthly averages and the rain forecast accuracy is excellent. Id love if rain notifications were added.

Still the best

The only weather app on my home screen, and Ive tried and bought many.

Best Weather App Available

A Straight forward and to the point weather app with a great icon system. Two different trend lines for the highs and lows. A well thought out weather app for people who want to quickly get to the forecast data and not deal with pseudo 3D art work that represents the data you are looking for. It is powered by Forecast.io, which means you know the real-time precipitation data is going to be spot on.

Visually Clear

Most weather apps bombard with data, making the simple weather inquiry a tedious process. This puts the basics upfront with minimal reading. Image-based info is the way to go. Thats super nice. Cons: Would REALLY like to see a simple widget for the iPhones pull down "Today" screen. I think this apps simplicity lends itself to that kind of use. No radar. I use another app for this but a localized radar within this app would be a nice compliment. Keep it simple, just a current snapshot. I dont like the bottom drawer rain graph. I feel like it breaks the apps aesthetic and feels awkward. Would like to see it integrated further up or simply scroll down to see it. Really, it could be an optional third line on the main temp graph. Yeah, I like that.

Yay!

Yay for the 6+ update. Love this app. Update: My only request would be a night view. Even if the colors were just reversed. This remains my favorite weather app on iOS.
